Actor –director duo to team up for third time

After delivering Telugu hits such as “Don Seenu” and “Balupu”, director Gopichand Malineni and actor Ravi Teja are teaming up for the third time for a yet-untitled project in the language. “Ravi Teja really liked Gopichand’s one-liner and has asked him to develop it into a script.

The script work will take a few months and in the interim, Ravi will complete shooting for ‘Touch Chesi Chudu’ and ‘Raja The Great’,” a source close to the actor IANS. The project will be as commercial and entertaining as their previous collaborations.

“Both ‘Don Seenu’ and ‘Balupu’ were known for their commercial factor and overall entertainment. Ravi Teja wants something on the same lines and wouldn’t mind if the new film even supersedes the previous ones,” the source added. The yet-untitled film can be expected to roll from August.

After a long deliberation post the disastrous debut, Akkineni Akhil locked talented director Vikram Kumar for his second film which commenced its regular shoot in Hyderabad a few days back. Nagarjuna himself is bankrolling the film on Annapurna Studios banner.

The latest we hear is that the unit will next head to North India for an extensive schedule. Sources say that key portions of the film will be shot in Agra and Lucknow. It is heard that Vikram Kumar is going to project Akhil in a new light in this film.

Though the title has not been confirmed officially, Junnu and Ekkada Ekkada Vundho Taraka are said to be considered for the film. PS Vinod is handling the camera and Anup Rubens is giving the tunes. The female lead is yet to be finalised.

Having completed a marathon journey of five years working for Baahubali franchise, Prabhas is currently on a short break chilling in America. He will soon commence shooting for his upcoming action drama titled as Saaho in Sujith’s direction.

The Mirchi actor has also signed yet another project which will be helmed by Jil fame Radha Krishna Kumar. It is learnt that the director has come up with a pure love story and Prabhas is going to be seen as a lover boy in this film. Sources say that Prabhas’ character in this romantic entertainer will be in contrast to what he has played so far in his career.

The young director has promised to showcase the darling side of Prabhas in this film. It is heard that Prabhas will simultaneously shoot for both Sujith and Radha Krishna’s film. More details about this film are awaited.

Venky and Trivikram to team up for a Bollywood remake?

Bollywood hit movie Jolly LLB 2, which released earlier this year, will soon be remade in Telugu. Popular producer S. Radha Krishna of Haasine and Haarika Creations has bagged the remake rights for a hefty price and is looking to rope in the best team for the Telugu version.

Reportedly, star hero Victory Venkatesh will play reprise Akshay Kumar’s role from the original. It is learnt that wizard of words Trivikram Srinivas will pen the dialogue version of the film. The director and the remaining cast of the film will be revealed shortly.

Jolly LLB 2 is a court room drama which is a sequel to the 2013 hit Jolly LLB. The story of the Telugu version will be tweaked to suit the nativity here.

The Daggubati family will be spending this summer in Europe for two weeks, breaking away from their usual holiday destination Kodaikanal in Tamil Nadu. Leading producer Suresh Babu and his brother and star Venkatesh and his son and hotshot actor Rana and other family members left for Europe and will be checking out various picturesque locales in their 14-day trip.
