Chaithu’s next gets a release date

Baahubali: The Conclusion is expected to bring out more heat during this summer and the movie is gearing up for April 28th release and will occupy maximum number of screens. With the film’s release all small and medium budgeted movies walked out of summer race.

Allu Arjun’s DuvvadaJagannadham has been planned to hit the screens on May 19th but the delay in the film’s shoot made the film walk out of summer race. With the exit of Bunny, many young actors like Gopichand, Sharwanand, Raj Tarun are in plans to test their luck during May.

The latest one to join the race is Naga Chaitanya. His latest movie RarandoyVedukaChuddam is nearing completion and this family drama is directed by Kalyan Krishna. Now the movie is gearing up for May 19th release which would be a perfect date to impress the family audience.

With over three weeks of summer holidays left, RarandoyVedukaChuddam can rake huge figures if the film has interesting content. Rakul Preet Singh is the female lead and Annapurna Studios is bankrolling RarandoyVedukaChuddam.


Nani’s Ninnu Kori theatrical rights sold for a hefty price

Natural Star Nani is sure the most happening actor of Telugu cinema. Six back to back hits is something which happens quite unusual in any actor’s career. His last outing Nenu Local ended up as the biggest hit in his career and it minted over Rs 33 crores in its final run.

The actor is currently shooting for his next movie in the direction of debutant named Shiva Nirvana. The movie has been titled Ninnu Kori and Nani is romancing Nivetha Thomas for the second time after Gentleman.

With some stupendous track record, the theatrical rights of Ninnu Kori for AP and Telangana have been sold out for a whopping price of Rs 14 crores. Popular distribution house Abhishek Pictures bagged the distribution rights of the film for AP and Telangana.

The movie’s pre-release business is all set to cross Rs 20 crores and the makers will be left in profits even before the film’s release. Ninnu Kori is being produced by DVV Danayya and most of the film is shot in USA.



Samantha‘s role revealed in Jai Lava Kusa

Jr.NTR and Samantha both of them have worked in many movies-Janatha Garage, Ramayya Vasthavayya, Rabhasa, and Brindavanam. Some of the movies stood as blockbuster hits in Tollywood and the former is showing keen interest to rope her in the upcoming movie of ‘Jai Lava Kusa’.

According to inputs, Samantha is going to play a cameo role in Jai Lava Kusa. Rumors were doing the rounds that, Samantha will be seen playing a negative role in the movie and her role will be a major highlight in Jai Lava Kusa. Still, it is unclear an official announcement is yet to made by the makers of the movie about the same.

The film is being directed by Bobby, also stars Raashi Khanna and Niveda Thomas in the lead roles. Watch the space for more updates.

The much-awaited marriage of Tollywood is Naga Chaitanya and Samatha but due to their professional work, they have postponed it for awhile. On another side, Nagarjuna is busy in producing  Akhil’s second film and all their projects which they are doing right now would likely to wrap by end of this year.

Concept artist spilled beans about why Kattappa killed Baahubali Poster?

Fans will have to wait for the sequel to know ‘Why Kattappa killed Baahubali?’ but concept artist Viswanath Sundaram has spilled the beans about how he created the now-famous image in the S S Rajamouli-directed blockbuster.

Sundaram, who has designed more than 1,000 concept art pieces for Rajamouli’s film, says working on the project was equivalent to doing ten movies thanks to its epic nature. Talking about that famous shot, Sundaram says, “Rajamouli sir called me to develop designs where ‘Kattappa kills Baahubali’.

“First, I developed a frame but the director felt it was too low an angle to shoot on the screen. The next one too did not convince him since the slayer’s face was obscure. Later, I composed a silhouette with fire and grey backdrop, and my art was ultimately replicated on the screen without any change.”

Kattappa scene may be the signature image from the movie but Sundaram considers the statue-lifting scene of Bhallala Deva (played by Rana Daggubati) in the first installment as the most challenging shot he envisioned as a concept artist.

“In the first part, the statue-lifting sequence was very challenging. That shot was an important one to propel the story forward. I created three sketches with panoramic views and handed the printouts. During the shoot, they had the sketches in front of them to decide where to place the shots.”

Sundaram believes film industry has gradually opened doors to concept art and graphic design aritsts for projects made on a broad canvas. “In our industry, concept design is employed only in particular films and by specific filmmakers. Few directors follow a methodical approach to work on the storyboard first, subsequently on concept design and then finally on developing the visuals.”

While Sundaram’s work in “Baahubali” is mostly focused on designing concept art and developing visuals, he was hired by director Shankar for “character designing” in the Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar starrer “2.0”. “In ‘2.0’, I have been asked to do character design. VFX supervisor Srinivas Mohan called me during the first part of ‘Baahubali.’ Director Shankar saw the sketches I did for ‘Baahubali’ and appreciated the details and background work.

“Then he explained a sequence and told me to redesign ‘Chitti’ Robo’s character, its hairstyle and also to design the villain,” says Sundaram. In “Baahubali 2”, Sundaram will get credit in the category of ‘concept design and visual development’, and he is elated that even storyboard artists are getting due recognition. “Baahubali: The Conclusion”, starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia, is scheduled to release on April 28.


Bollywood actress to romance Superstar

Superstar Mahesh Babu left top director Koratala Siva in waiting mode as he is busy wrapping up the shoot of AR Murugadoss’s movie. If things go planned, the actor is all set to wrap up the shoot of the film by the end of April.

After a brief break, he will join the sets of Koratala Siva’s movie from May which is said to be an action drama. Titled Bharat anu Nenu, the movie showcases Mahesh as a Chief Minister. It was Keerthy Suresh who was considered for the female lead.

However Koratala Siva has been in search for the female lead and the latest update across the Tollywood circles reveal that Bollywood beauty Kiara Advani has been asked to play the female lead.

Koratala seems to be impressed with her performance in MS Dhoni: The Untold Story after which he approached the actress to play the female lead. Devi Sri Prasad is the music composer and DVV Entertainments will produce this big budget film which will be shot in London.


Banned actor to play villain role in Jai Lava Kusa

As the logo poster of NTR’s forthcoming film Jai Lava Kusa continue to trend all over in social media, an interesting development about the film’s casting is making rounds in the media circles.

As per the reports in a leading news daily, Kannada actor Duniya Vijay is likely to play the film’s prime antagonist. Duniya Vijay is a leading actor in Kannada, who was temporarily banned after the last year’s mishap during the shooting of his film Masti Gudi in which two stuntmen were drowned. It is learnt that the makers of Jai Lava Kusa met the actor with the script and got a positive nod. However,an official confirmation in this regard is yet to be received.

Directed by Bobby, the film has NTR playing a triple role for the first time in his career. NTR Arts banner is bankrolling the film.


Manchu Manoj – Okkadu Migiladu Last Schedule Begins From Today

Manchu Manoj is acculturated to experiment on quirky scripts. He took up the challenging role of former LTTE militant chief Velupillai Prabhakaran in this the new movie titled Okkadu Migiladu directed by Ajay Andrews Nuthakki and produced by SN Reddy, Laxmikanth.
Okkadu Migiladu entered into last shooting schedule kick started from today morning at Aluminum factory. This schedule will be commenced till the month end shooting the crucial scenes wherein complete casting team will be present.
“Okkadu Migiladu is a movie scripted on true incidents of 1990 during Sri Lankan Civil war leaving 15 Lakh civilians as refugees. We are confident that this film will be best in Manchu Manoj career and extremely happy with audience reactions to Manchu Manoj first look as Velupillai Prabhakaran released before.
After doing Sri Lanka war backdrop powerful Prabhakaran character in the first schedule, director is presently shooting 2017 contemporary college scenes on Manoj. For the student character, Manoj lost 12 Kgs weight giving an authentic look to differentiate him from Prabhakaran.
Okkadu Migiladu last schedule shooting is commenced from today at Aluminum factory. Director Ajay Andrews Nuthakki will helm this schedule till the month end shooting important scenes involving all the lead artists. This finishes the complete production and post production is progressing in parallel,” producers informed.
