Story:

Initially, he hates her but as days pass by, he finally starts liking her. In the meantime, after a series of incidents, news comes out that Chaitra was murdered and Anand was involved in the case. SI Durga Prasad (Ajay Ghosh) starts investigating the case and Anand lands in a big trouble. What happened to Chaitra? Did Anand kill Chaitra? How did Anand come out of this mess? forms the story of the film Venkatapuram.

Cast and Performances:

The film has good performances from almost everyone. Rahul has undergone a massive makeover for the film and he shined in the youthful role brilliantly. The way he showed some variations is impressive. He should start changing his thought process while selecting the roles and should experiment more. Rahul impressed in the film as Anand and so is Mahima as Chaitra. She is cute and good looking. She did perform well. Ajay Ghosh is another interesting actor who has got a remarkable role. Ajay Ghosh from the beginning impresses with his dominating act. Ajay who comes in the second half is also very good in the role he is playing. Kasi Viswanath is good in the role he was offered. The casting is good and they made a good impression.

Technical Department:

Technically, everyone has come out with their best work. Sai Prakash cinematography is one of the highlights of the film. The way DOP has maintained the mood of the film throughout deserves the appreciations. Madhu’s editing is nice. His cuts are sharp. Achu Rajamani’s music is another wonderful asset for the movie. Achu gave wonderful tunes for the film and also impressed with some good BGM. The action sequences are designed nicely. The production values are great.

Summary : Baahubali 2 is a masterfully made sequel which is grandly conceived, brilliantly executed and largely engaging. Baahubali is back with more grandness and emotions.

User Rating: 3.19 ( 6 votes)

Easily the biggest Indian film of the year, Baahubali 2 is finally out for us to get entertained and take another trip to the magnificent world. An enthralling historical fantasy tale that shows how a royal family gets torn apart by sibling rivalry. This one is more extensive but is it as engrossing as the first part? Read to know more.

Story:

Baahubali: The Conclusion is the continuation to Baahubali: The Beginning. The film revolves around Shivudu, who in the pursuit of helping his love finds out about his royal familial ties with the legendary king Baahubali. Unfortunately, Baahubali was killed by Kattappa, Mahishmati’s most royal servant, Now Shivudu will avenge his father’s death, and fight it out with Bhallaladeva to take over the throne at Mahishmati.

  • Why Kattappa Killed Baahubali?
  • Did Mahendra Baahubali take revenge over Bhallaladeva?

The plot of the film Baahubali The Conclusion revolves around these two questions.

Analysis:

Director S. S. Rajamouli seems to have quite literally developed a definitive masterpiece, with Baahubali seeming to be a thoroughly Indian film with its roots firmly planted in mythology, and yet progressive enough to refrain from the age old cliché of show good is more powerful than evil. In fact here a special mention needs to be added as Rajamouli has focused on developing the antagonist as a much more powerful personality.

Prabhas is a powerhouse of talent and gives you an impression that no one else would play Baahubali better than him. Rana as Bhalvaldeva is as menacing as ever and shines big time. Where Baahubali 2 could have been better would be its finish line. Here a special mention goes to both Prabhas and Rana, for some outstanding work. The other two supporting cast members Nasser and Satyaraj as Bijjaladeva and Kattappa are impressive as well.

The climax fight is the most expected scene of the film but however one wonders that could have been dealt better. Seeing too much of elder Baahubali, reduces the weight in Shivudu’s character. That is one reason you may not enjoy the climax as much as the 1st part’s ending. The background score by MM Keravani was great.  Technically the film is brilliant as expected.

Talking about the CGI used in the film, Baahubali 2 is easily comparable to the Hollywood.  Every 15 minutes, you would have one kickass sequence which arrests your attention.  No Indian storyteller comes close to what S.S. Rajamouli envisions and executes on screen. Writers Madhan Karky, Rahul Koda, Vijayendra Prasad and S.S. Rajamouli have truly written and developed a masterpiece.

Every sequence of Baahubali 2 is a marvel that can easily be compared to the best of Hollywood. The grandiose sets, VFX, sound, edit, cinematography and most importantly, the screenplay of Baahubali 2 is beyond fantastic.

On the whole, despite having a second half that is rather slow, and a ballistic second half, a film like Baahubali 2 makes you proud that an Indian filmmaker dared to dream big and accomplished it. Baahubali 2  is definitely not to be missed. Call it a box-office blockbuster today, but tomorrow, it will be remembered as a classic.

Minus Points:

  • Unconvincing War Scenes
  • Comedy Track In First Half

OMG!!! Powerstar initially offered Baahubali role

With Baahubali’s stupendous success, the team is definitely enjoying the glory of the movie. However, not many are aware that the initial casting choices for the now iconic characters were not the ones everyone got to witness on screen.

Starting with the titular character of Baahubali, the role was offered first to Power Star Pawan Kalyan. Sources inform that director SS Rajamouli felt that Pawan Kalyan had the diction, image, body language and dialogue delivery suited for the role of Baahubali.

The actor, however, passed on the offer as he was not willing to spend so much time on one movie while he could do more in the given time.

Interestingly, Prabhas was offered Bhallaladeva’s role which later on went to Rana Daggubati. Also, the character of Sivagami was initially offered to Sridevi who demanded Rs 5 crore as remuneration and hence the role went to Ramya Krishna.

Rana to share screenspace with Megastar?

It looks like actor Rana‘s tryst with period films is not going to end anytime sooner. Having already appeared in Ghazi, a period drama set in the 1970’s, Rana is currently shooting for another similar film titled as 1945 which has him playing an Indian soldier. Now here comes an interesting update.

According to the reports in DC, Rana is likely to be approached for a crucial role in Megastar Chiranjeevi’s forthcoming period drama Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. It is learnt that the makers of this biopic are looking to bring Rana on board for a powerful character. However, they are yet to approach the Baahubali actor.

As Rana is very much fond of period films, there is no reason he might reject the offer, if he is approached. The pre production activities of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy are in full swing and the regular shoot will commence in August. Surender Reddy will direct the film.

Superstar’s SPYder latest updates about teaser and release dates

Ace director AR Murugadoss seems to be taking his sweet time to meet the staggering expectations on his upcoming film starring Superstar Mahesh Babu. The film, titled SPYder, which went on floors almost a year ago, is still in production stage with good amount of work yet to be finished.

The shooting of film’s climax portion will commence from 13th of this month and it will be wrapped up by May 20. After taking a short gap, the unit will reassemble to shoot two songs in Ramoji Film City. With 1 more week of patch work, the film’s production part will be completed.

Later, Murugadoss will spend about two months on post-production. As Baahubali has raised the standards of Indian cinema, movie lovers will be expecting high quality products especially from big budget entertainers. Hence, Murugadoss has decided to deliver spotless output however amount of time it may take.

Makers are tentatively planning to release the film ahead of Independence Day. The film’s teaser will reportedly be released on the eve of Superstar Krishna’s birthday, 31st May. Meanwhile, Mahesh will move to Koratala Siva’s film after wrapping up the shoot of SPYder.

Prabhas’ to win hearts with love story in his next

Having completed a marathon journey of five years working for Baahubali franchise, Prabhas is currently on a short break chilling in America. He will soon commence shooting for his upcoming action drama titled as Saaho in Sujith’s direction.

The Mirchi actor has also signed yet another project which will be helmed by Jil fame Radha Krishna Kumar. It is learnt that the director has come up with a pure love story and Prabhas is going to be seen as a lover boy in this film. Sources say that Prabhas’ character in this romantic entertainer will be in contrast to what he has played so far in his career.

The young director has promised to showcase the darling side of Prabhas in this film. It is heard that Prabhas will simultaneously shoot for both Sujith and Radha Krishna’s film. More details about this film are awaited.

Pawan Kalyan made this for first time for Baahubali

Actor and Jana Sena activist Pawan Kalyan congratulated Baahubali team for the grand success of Baahubali 2. Pawan Kalyan, who usually tweets about social and political issues, took to Twitter on Sunday evening to wish Baahubali team. Pawan posted ‘My Heartfelt congratulations to Shri Rajmouli,Shri Prabhas &team for their stupendous success of.

Bahubali and achieving the 1000 crore mark’. It is yet to be known whether Pawan Kalyan watched the film or not. Baahubali 2 has surpassed a huge milestone on Sunday by becoming the first Indian film to gross 1000 Crores worldwide.

The fine storytelling by Rajamouli coupled with the spectacular visual effects and other technical wizardry resulted in an epic masterpiece that is impressing all sections of audience. It may be recalled that Baahubali writer Vijayendra Prasad revealed that the stunning interval block in Baahubali 2 was inspired by Pawan Kalyan’s frenzied fan following that is common in most of the filmy events in Tollywood.

OMG!!! Kid in Baahubali is a girl

The euphoria created by Baahubali franchise among Indian movie lovers is so huge that they are not satisfied with the on-screen magic. They want to know about every minute aspect that went into making of this epic film. After a stunning revelation like Rana Daggubati was visually impaired in one eye, the makers have another surprise in store. As per media reports, the baby who played infant Mahendra Baahubali in the film is actually a Girl.

The scene where Rajamata Sivagami played by Ramya Krishnan gets drowned holding the baby above her head is one iconic visual piece in the history of Indian cinema. Moreover, this particular scene was used as the very first poster of Baahubali when the film’s promotions kick-started a few years ago.

Named Akshitha Valslan, the baby who played infant Mahendra Baahubali is said to be only 18-day-old when her scenes were canned for almost five days for the biggest Indian blockbuster ever. Akshitha is the daughter of Valslan, who was the production executive for Baahubali in Kerala.

That’s how the baby got the lucky opportunity of becoming part of Baahubali. Interim, Baahubali has become the first Indian film to gross Rs 1000 crores at the worldwide box office and the film hasn’t slowed down yet.
