Creative director Sukumar will be directing Mega Powerstar Ram Charan later this year and he is currently working on a script for the same. Megastar has given Sukumar the task of revamping Charan’s image and the director is working hard to fulfil this directive.
 
Sukumar has reportedly zeroed in on a science thriller for Charan. This movie reportedly deals with the mysteries of energy and physics. Sukumar is currently working with a team of writers to simplify this subject to the level of a common man, so that even mass crowds can enjoy the film.
 
After doing back to back mass roles, Charan is desperately looking for an image makeover and a hit in A centers and overseas markets. The decision to remake Thani Oruvan and work with Sukumar are steps in that direction.

Traditional looking Devayani has won millions of hearts in Tollywood with her girl next door look in many films during 90s decade. She even starred with Powerstar Pawan Kalyan in Suswagatam which was a super hit. However, she faded from the lead actress roles and was best noted for her performance in Nani as Mahesh Babu’s mother.

After years, she bagged a chance to act opposite Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal for Jr NTR’s upcoming flick Janata Garage. But, unfortunately she lost the chance as the makers of Janatha Garrage felt that she wasn’t suiting the character perfectly. However, Devayani is now replaced with another stellar actress Suhasini Maniratnam.

Suhasini is well known for remarkable performances in Telugu post heroine phase such as Nuvvu Naaku Nacchav and Leader. However, it would be quite interesting to see her sharing screen space with Mohanlal this time.

Directed by Koratala Siva, the film also features Samantha and Nithya Menen as the female leads in the film. The shooting is currently progressing at a jet speed and it is slated to hit the screens on August 12th, 2016.

SS Rajamouli, who has had a successful year with the Magnum-opus ‘Baahubali’ is all praise for the latest emotional drama, Vamsi Padipally’s Oopiri. The director showered praises on Vamsi for his amazing direction and screenplay.
 
Rajamouli took to Twitter to praise Vamsi, in his tweets he said that Vamsi did a fabulous job and Oopiri is a true entertainer that stays with you for a long time.
 
The director, with a series of tweets- showered praises on Karthi, Nagarjuna for their performances and congratulated the producer Prasad V Potluri and the whole team for the success.

Shocking cost of Nag’s wheelchair in Oopiri

Did you see that hi-tech wheelchair which Nagarjuna uses in Oopiri? Well, you’d be surprised to know that it costs a whopping Rs 25 lakh! Yes, we have reliably learnt that Nag, who plays a quadriplegic millionaire in the film, which is an adaptation of French classic The Intouchables, is seen using this state of the art wheel-chair throughout the film and we hear it was specially designed for him. The chair, was imported from Sweden just to shoot the film and the makers spent a huge sum of Rs 25 lakh for the process.
 
In the film, Nagarjuna is seen as a man confined to a wheelchair after a skydiving accident incapacitates his entire body below the neck. Nagarjuna underwent a lot of training to ensure he doesn’t move his hands or other parts of the body while emoting.
 
Co-starring Tamannaah and Karthi, the film directed by Vamshi Paidipally has opened to generally positive reviews and is going strong on the first day with an estimate collection of Rs 3.5 crores.

Megastar Chiranjeevi, who underwent a surgery on his right shoulder last month, is expected to be operated on his left shoulder next month. The surgery is expected to take place soon after his second daughter Srija get married next week. Chiranjeevi has been struggling with shoulder-related problems for nearly two years. 
 
A source close to Megastar said that post the wedding, he is expected to get operated in Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital. The source further added, “When he got his right shoulder operated, he wanted to get his other shoulder fixed too. However, he was advised against it”. 
 
Meanwhile, the shoot of his next Telugu project, a remake of Tamil film Kaththi, has been pushed by a few months due to his shoulder surgery.

Balayaa’s next to be released in Jan?

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s 100th film is going to go on floors from end April or the first week of May. Director Krish will be in charge of this project and shooting will go on at a brisk pace. The only interruptions will be for the assembly sessions and other political commitments of Balakrishna.
A source close to the team said that the makers are aiming for a Sankranthi release for this movie. The budget for this period film will be quite large and pre-production work is being done meticulously, to avoid any wastage.
 
The film’s cast and crew are being finalised and a formal announcement is expected on April 8th, as reported by us before. The film will be released in both Telugu and Tamil languages.

Pawan Kalyan’s Sardar Gabbar Singh is one of the eagerly awaited films this season. The makers stated that the film will release on April 8th. If the latest reports are to be believed, the film might get postponed to April 14. 
 
The talkie part has been wrapped up and a couple of songs are yet to be shot. The final schedule was supposed to commence this week, but it might get delayed due to unknown reasons. An official confirmation is yet to be received.
 
The audio, which was unveiled last week, has been getting a thumping response from the music lovers. Kajal Aggarwal and Lakshmi Raai are the female leads in the film. Sharrat Marar is bankrolling the film and Bobby is directing it. Devi Sri Prasad scored the music. The film will be releasing across 40 countries.

Noted producer to distribute Vijay’s Theri

Well, an interesting update is that Dil Raju will be distributing the Telugu version of Vijay’s Theri. But what’s more interesting is that the ace producer actually met Vijay and expressed his interest to buy the remake rights for Telugu so that he can pitch it to Pawan Kalyan with whom he has announced prospective project. However, Vijay insisted that the film would be ideal for him to build his market in Telugu as it is a good film.
 
And so, Dil Raju has decided to take this suggestion and well, looking at the trailer, it seems he’s making a good bet. In fact, a grand audio launch is now being planned in Hyderabad for the Telugu version too which Vijay will attend along with co-star Samantha.

Censor formalities completed for Nara Rohit’s Savitri

After the successof his recent hit Tuntari,Nara Rohit is now gearing up for the release of two more films Savitri and Raja Cheyi Vesthe. The post production work for Savitri has been wrapped up and the latest update reveals that the film has been censored with a clean U certificate.
 
With this, the film is all set to hit the screens on the 1st of April. Pawan Sadineni the director for the film and Nanditha Raj is the leading lady. The audio, composed by Sravan was unveiled by Nandamuri Balakrishna a few days ago. BV Rajendra Prasad of Vision Film Makers is the producer for the film.
