The Trisha, Hansika and Siddharth starrer upcoming horror-comedy, Aaranmanai 2, created an Asian record as the makers of the film built a giant 103 feet long ‘Amman’ idol for the film’s climax song. The idol, one of the highlights of this film, will soon enter the Limca Book of Records.

Initially, the film’s unit planned to create the idol taking its visual effects department’s help. However, art director Gururaj decided to make the idol with plaster of Paris and skeletons and other materials to make the idol and the song look authentic. Apparently, it took the art department 40 days to create the idol.

Aaranmanai 2 is a sequel to its successful predecessor, Aaranmanai (Chandrakala in Telugu).

Akhil Akkineni’s debut film Akhil  is one of the most awaited films of the upcoming festive season and this film is fast finishing its final schedule in Hyderabad.

The film, directed by VV Vinayak and produced by actor Nithiin, has been the talk of the town ever since its commencement. For the last few days, Akhil has been visiting several colleges in Hyderabad to promote the film.

Now, the unit members of Akhil will be touring in three major cities in the USA to promote the film. In Akhil’s words, this will be the first time that a Telugu film unit will promote its film in such a grand way in overseas. The film’s unit is currently in the US to take part in several promotional events in New Jersey, Dallas and San Francisco Bay Area.

The film’s audio and the grand theatrical trailer raised the expectation levels among fans, and huge openings are expected when the film releases on 22nd October.

As per the latest reports, the post production work of Bruce Lee is going on in full swing to meet the deadline. Hero Nithiin and Samantha are all set to work with acclaimed director Trivikram for the film ‘A..Aa’, Anasuya Ramalingam vs Anand Vihaari. This film will be produced on the banner of ‘Haarika and Hassine Creations and the project was formally launched today (September 24th) in Ramanaidu Studios, with a pooja ceremony at the temple.

Nithiin is teaming up with Trivikram for the first time and he is very excited about working with this ‘Wizard of Words’. For Samantha, this is her third project with the star director after ‘Attarintiki Daredhi’ and ‘S/o Satyamurthy’.

According to the production unit, regular shooting will commence from October 10th. The movie is going to hit the screens in January 2016. Popular Tamil music director Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music for this movie.

It is a known fact that Premam, the Malayalam smash hit, is going to be remade in Telugu and Akkineni Naga Chaitanya will be playing the lead role.

According to the latest updates, the Telugu remake of Premam has been titled as Majnu. This official remake will be produced by senior producer S. Radha Krishna under his Haarika and Hassine Creations.

Young filmmaker Chandu Mondeti of Karthikeya fame will helm this project. In the film, Chaitanya will romance three heroines and the makers are said to be in talks with the leading senior actress for one of the female leads.

From the past few days, the rumors are rife that the national award winning actress Priyamani is going to shake leg with Allu Arjun in a special song in Allu Arjun’s forthcoming film under Boyapati Srinu’s direction.

Quickly refuting these reports as mere rumors, Priyamani’s manager clarified that the actress is currently busy promoting her latest Malayalam film in the US and that she was not even approached by the makers of Allu Arjun’s film. Priyamani’s last released Telugu film was Chandee, in 2013.

Currently, a fight sequence is being canned under the supervision of the stunt masters duo Ram-Laxman. Veteran actor Srikanth, who is playing a crucial role in the film, is taking part in the shoot along with Allu Arjun. Geetha Arts banner is bankrolling the film and SS Thaman is music director.
