Young Tiger NTR’s pen chant for the number 9 is well known. And the actor has always made it a point to ensure all his vehicles have a registration number with the fancy 9 in them. In fact, tumour has it that his phone number is a compilation of several 9s as well!
 
But why we are giving you this trivia is because the actor is said to have bought a fancy registration number (Ts09el9999) for his new BMW 7 Series car for a whopping amount of Rs 11 lakh! Yes, the actor has spent the amount owing to a huge competition for the numeral.
 
We knew stars spend lavishly, but this is something we do not really fathom, is it?

Remember Shruti Sodhi who stole hearts with Pataas? Well the girl’s career is going great guns. While she is already a well-known name in the Punjabi film industry, she is soon going to be seen in a special song in director Anil Ravipudi’s Supreme. And the latest we hear is that the actress will be seen in an untitled Indo-Chinese film with Chinese superstar Wang Baoqiang in a film which he is directing and has also started shooting for it.
 
Speaking to an English daily, Shruti confirmed the news and said that she landed the film after a successful audition. “The makers were looking for someone who looks glamorous and can carry off the role with flair. The film is a sequel to ‘Lost In Thailand’, a super hit Chinese comedy.”
 
Shruti plays an Indian Queen in the film being shot in Jaipur. She has worked on her royal look and will be donning very classy looking jewellery and clothes. Here’s wishing her a lot of luck!

Tamil Star Suriya’s forthcoming flick 24 The Movie had a wonderful audio launch in Hyderabad. The trailer that released on the same stage increased the expectations over the film.
 
As you know, Suriya is seen in three different getup’s in the film (predominantly in the role of a scientist). The curiosity levels over the film are way too high that the story of the film is allegedly leaked –
 
Well, this is the story of a visionary scientist who aspires to build a time travel machine. However, he becomes physically challenged due to a fatal accident. Undeterred scientist travels back to the past using his invention to fulfill his fantasies. How did the hero overcome the subsequent challenges and adversities in the course of his journey forms the key plot of the film, according to the rumor mills!
 
Vikram K Kumar who has gifted us memorable films like Ishq & Manam is back with a sci-fi this time. Forget not, he is the creater of an exceptional thriller like 13B and he is quite unpredictable. But let us wait and see if this story is true!

It is a  well known fact that Murali Mohan, distributor and head of Jayabheri Productions filed a petition in High Court against D Suresh Babu saying that the latter is in debt with film chamber and he is not qualified to stand in politics.
 
The City Civil court looked into this petition and restricted Suresh Babu not to continue as the film chamber’s head. Suresh Babu filed a reverse petition saying that he doesn’t have any debts with film chamber and  it is unfair to stop him from contesting in elections.
 
As a result, the High court has given a stay order for Suresh Babu on Civil Court’s Judgement now. This must be a great whiff of relief for the producer who has been facing a tough time with legal troubles for quite some time now.

Riding a success wave with back to back hits, Nani is currently busy wrapping up his upcoming untitled film in the direction of Indraganti Mohan Krishna. The film is slated to hit the screens in May. In the meantime, the pre production work for his next project is going great guns.
 
He will team up with Uyyala Jampala fame Virinchi Varma for a romantic entertainer. For this film, Mumbai girl Shri Priya has been roped in to play Nani’s love interest. Shri Priya is one of the leading models and she was recently approached by Virinchi Varma who confirmed her after a couple of auditions. 
 
Happening Malayalam actress Anu Emanuel has already been confirmed to play the other leading lady’s role in the film. The regular shooting will commence once Nani completes his current film.

South SuperstarVijay’s forthcoming cop drama Theri is dubbed into Telugu as Policeodu. Popular producer Dil Raju bagged the Telugu rights and is planning a grand release in both the Telugu States. Recently, the core team members of the film interacted with the press in Hyderabad.
 
Both the Telugu and Tamil versions were supposed to hit the screens on April 14th, but due to some technical issues the makers have pushed the Telugu release to April 15th. Raja Rani fame Atlee is the film’s director. 
 
Samantha and Nitya Menon are the female leads and happening South tunesmith GV Prakash composed the music for the film.

Director Teja and actor Rajasekhar are known for their unique personalities. One is a tough ‘slap’master sorry taskmaster and the other is fans’ favorite “angry young man” (of course not anymore). When a film was announced in this hatke combination, many were taken aback!
 
Interestingly, the project was aptly titled Aham and the shoot was initially scheduled to commence from March onwards. But latest updates reveal that Rajasekhar opted out from this project due to creative and commercial differences. However, an official confirmation on this is still awaited.
 
After Gaddam Gang bombing at the box-office, Rajasekhar was planning to turn into a villain and the right time, Teja pitched in this project. Even the title Aham added to the hype and expectations over the project. But unfortunately the producers have eaten a big blow now.
 
We need to wait and see if the project will be revived with newcomers or Rajasekhar!
