KVPG fails to beat BBM records

Natural Star Nani is riding on success with back to back hits right from Yevade Subramanyam to the recent Krishna Gadi Veera Prema Gaadha.
KVPG has bagged a hit talk right from the first show but trade pundits wondered if it would set the cash registers ringing like Bhale Bhale Magadivoy did! Though KVPG is a theoretical hit, trade pundits have a different story.
According to latest reports, KVPG is a hit for producers and a flop for distributors. It was made on a budget of Rs 14 Crore and sold out to the distributors for over Rs 16 Crore. According to the latest trade reports, KVPG collected only Rs 12 Crore (share) and is running with a deficit of more than Rs 3 Crore.
If the distributors have to enter safe zone then KVPG should run consistently for two more weeks and with new films hitting the screens this weekend, KVPG is only going to have a fat chance. Hope Nani’s upcoming films make the distributors happy.

Akkineni Naga Chaitanya is currently busy with his upcoming films, Sahasame Swaasagaa Saagipo and Premam. Both these films are in different stages of production and will release later this year.
We have exclusively learnt that Kalyan Krishna, who directed Soggade Chinni Nayana, will helm Chaitu’s next which will go on floors in April. The director has revealed that the formal launch of the film will likely take place on the 16th of April. Nagarjuna’s home banner Annapurna Studios will bankroll the project. The genre of the film and remaining details about the cast and crew will be announced very soon.
Kalyan Krishna become one of the most sought after directors after the stupendous success of Soggade Chinni Nayana which emerged as the biggest blockbuster in recent times. He was also in talks to direct Nagarjuna again for the sequel to that film.

Sarrainodu heads to Boliva

Stylish Star Allu Arjun starrer Sarrainodu is in the last leg of its shoot. The makers have locked April 22nd as the film’s release date. Action entertainers specialist Boyapati Srinu is directing the film and Allu Aravind is the producer. Rakul Preet Singh and Catherine Tresa are the female leads.
A romantic number featuring Bunny and Rakul Preet Singh will be canned in the exotic locales of Boliva. This is the first instance when a Telugu film is going to be shot in this country. Ganesh Acharya will compose the dance moves for this sizzling song.
The song will be canned with five days and the entire shooting barring some patch work will be wrapped up with this brief schedule. Veteran actor Srikanth is playing a prominent role and Adhi Pinisetty is playing as baddie in the film.

Baahubali 2 release date confirmed
The release date of the epic period film ‘Baahubali – The Conclusion’ has come out in the media as April 14th 2017. That leaves more than 400 days for the team to complete work. The question is, why commit to a date so far in advance? There is a surprisingly important reason behind this decision to get the date out into the press.
Baahubali is no longer a Telugu Cinema franchise. It is equally big in both Tamil and Hindi. For Hindi films, release dates are planned well in advance and if you miss a date, you have to wait many months to get a slot again. April 14th is Good Friday and therefore, a public holiday in many areas. No other major Hindi film has locked this date so far and there is a big gap before and after April 14th for other scheduled releases.
Apart from this, the Tamil New Year is also on April 14th and this should ensure solid openings for the film in Tamil Nadu as well. To ensure that Baahubali comes in cleanly and with minimal opposition, the team has put this date out in the media.

Nani clears all the air about his next

Natural Star Nani, who is riding high with hat-trick hits, is currently working for Indraganti Mohana Krishna’s film, which is being produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad.
There have been reports that the title ‘Dhamaka’ was being looked at for the film. Indeed, members of the producer’s office themselves said the same to Filmnagar folks a few weeks ago.
But Nani has issued a fresh clarification about this title. ‘Dhamaka’ is no longer the title of this movie and a formal announcement about the title will be out soon. The film is currently being shot in Kodaikanal and the unit is set to return to Hyderabad in a few more days. Nani’s next after this project is expected to be in Dil Raju’s production, with Cinema Choopistha Mava director.
