Journey couple set to tie knot soon

Life is an interesting journey by itself and in this you come across many people for good or bad reasons. But one among them turns out to be someone who travels with you for the rest of your life. That happens to be your life partner and the love of your life.

In the film industry, actors and actresses come together for a project and once the film gets over, their journey ends. However, there are also times when such journeys strike the heart and they end up becoming real life couple. This discussion is now happening on one pair.

They are the seductive eyed beauty Anjali and the Tamil star Jai. The duo acted in the movie Journey which became a big hit and since then there is a strong grapevine that the duo is strongly connected to each other. Speculations are on whether this journey would lead to marriage so let us see what happens.

Chaithu’s next to release soon

The first look of Naga Chaitanya and Rakul Preet Singh starrer ‘Rarandoi Veduka Chudham’ was unveiled by the film’s producer Akkineni Nagarjuna on Ugadi on Twitter.

While one still showed Chaitanya, clad in a traditional outfit, in a dance mode, the other presented him in an intense avatar, reminding one of his dad’s panchekattu look from ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’.

The Kalyan Krishna directorial is a romantic drama on the lines of Nagarjuna’s ‘Ninne Pelladatha’. “We’ve wrapped up 80 per cent of the film until now. It’d be a memorable movie in Naga Chaitanya’s career and filming it has been a very satisfying experience,” said Kalyan, who will wrap up the film by April-end. Also featuring Jagapathi Babu, Sampath, Kausalya, Annapurna and Chalapathy Rao, ‘Rarandoi Veduka Chudham’ will open this summer itself.

It is important to bring variety to your film and hence experimentation is a continuous process in filmmaking and other aspects. However, you must ensure that it doesn’t disturb the basic format and flavor of the project. This is more necessary when it is a star hero film.

However, it appears that the next film of power star Pawan Kalyan seems to have become the haven for new experiments. This is being helmed by the wizard of words Trivikram Srinivas and here are few updates. The director has roped in Tamil comedian Robo Shankar for an important role.

Secondly, he has brought in the Kollywood music maker Anirudh Ravichandar for the tunes. Some say when Devi Sri Prasad is in such a good form why Anirudh. They also add that after the viral hit ‘Why this Kolaveri…’ nothing much came from him. Only time will tell whether these experiments became successful or not.

Mahesh Babu requests his fans and asks them to maintain patience

Superstar Mahesh Babu has been keeping his fans in waiting mode as they have been eagerly waiting for the first look of his upcoming movie in the direction of AR Murugadoss. The movie is said to be a stylish action entertainer and there have been number of speculations making rounds about the film.

However the movie unit preferred to stay tight-lipped and continued with their work. The shoot of the film is currently taking place in Vietnam and the movie unit will return back to the country on April 2nd. For the first time Superstar Mahesh Babu stepped out revealing about the film.

He requested his fans to be patient and revealed that the team is working round the clock to impress the audience. He also promised that the first look of the film will be out soon. Rakul Preet Singh is the female lead in the movie and Harris Jayraj is the music composer. NV Prasad, Tagore Madhu are jointly bankrolling the project which will release on June 23rd.

Review: Guru – GURU is definitely a good one-time watch

Plot:

Adithya (Venkatesh Daggubati) is a failed boxer yet a headstrong boxing coach who shares a troubled past and enmity with Dev Khatri (Zakir Hussain), the chairperson of Boxing Association. Adithya’s attitude and conduct irks Dev and his lobby in the association who demote Adithya to Vizag where he encounters Rameshwari alias Ramudu (Ritika Singh), a fisherwoman.

Only Adithya spots and believes the natural boxing talent in this most ziddi and adamant girl and offers to train her putting his name and career at stake. However, his intention and training methodology is quite misunderstood by everyone including Ramudu who eventually fails to live up to Adi’s expectations and embarrasses him on the big day. What pain did the Guru, his dearest sishya and their mission went through and how did they triumph forms the rest of the story.

Performances:

Venkatesh: Yes we know he is an exceptional actor but once ‘Guru’ was announced, we honestly wondered ‘what difference can Venky make?!’ to this much accomplished and acclaimed character and film. But Venky once again proved that he can amaze you with his signature given any character. Be it his attitude throughout the film or his intense act towards the end of the film, Venky is the one who can take it close to your hearts.

Ritika Singh: Despite doing the subject for the fourth time, Ritika retained the vigor and gave the character all it deserved. She could mouth her Telugu dialogues well too– now that’s quote unusual you know.

The rest of the characters including Mumtaz, Nasser, Thanikella Bharani, Sunitha, Raghu etc display their finesse.

Analysis:

Guru tries to check the maximum possible boxes. It is definitely not the “usual kind” of Telugu cinema we are habituated to. With a clear intent and a robust plot comprising of decently balanced characters and their respective emotional arcs, Guru is certainly a commendable attempt. But if you ask us about the emotional connect, it might hit hard to anyone who is watching it for the first time.

There is no single dull moment in the 116min drama– due credits to the brisk and content driven narrative. Dissecting this script into first half and second half would not be fair but the placement is just fine. The last 20mins of the film could engross you whatsoever – that’s already a good hint of success.

Apart from the above, Guru guarantees you a good story that you often see on Telugu celluloid. Now if you start giving us some better names in the same league, we simply can’t resist appreciating your INCREDIBLE sense of appreciation and urge for Excellency!

Positive Aspects:

• Performances of lead cast especially Venkatesh, Ritika & Zakir
• Story and screenplay
• Music
• Cinematography
• Editing
• Production design

Negative Aspects:

• Out of the routine commercial league might deprive it from enjoying a mass approval.
• An enhanced way of executing emotions and treatment could have placed the film in the next horizon.

Verdict:

GURU is definitely a good one-time watch and the narrative along with the performances makes it a worth watch! Tuning your mind to watch a good film than a paisa vasool can actually help.
