While Tollywood is full of actresses who hail predominantly from north, only some gifted actresses graced the industry down the south. These actresses are powerhouses of talent with glamour as well as stupendous performing abilities.

One such actress is the beautiful looking Regina Cassandra who earned a brilliant set of fan base. The actress has been doing back to back films in Telugu which have been getting great response as well. Now she is going to make a big move into Bollywood by starring opposite Big B Amitabh Bachchan!

This project called Aankhen 2 also has brilliant star cast such as Arshad Warsi, Anil Kapoor and Arjun Rampal as well.  Way to go Regina!

Item queen clears all the air about her love affair with Puri

“Ippatikinka Naa Vayasu Ninda Padaharee” come on…who doesn’t know the name Mumaith Khan?. Well, item queen Mumaith Khan is back to business with her latest jhatka in Sai Dharam Tej’s Thikka.

There was a time when there was hardly any commercial Telugu cinema without her item number. Off late, it is all about her career slump and comeback. Well in a recent interview, she happened to take questions on the linkup rumors with director Puri Jagannadh and her response is under discussion now.

 Mumaith thrashed down the link up speculations as baseless rumors and requested media to maintain some dignity while carrying such reports. She even went on to clarify that, they are good friends and have remained so from a long while now.

 Apparently Puri played a key role behind her popularity and he kept giving her meaty roles trusting her abilities. And on a comeback note, we might even see her in Puri’s upcoming Ism movie as well – hopefully!

​Huge difference between actress and her mom on the sets

Creative differences between any two individuals in any creative job are quite common but when those differences sprout up between family members working for the same film, it will make it to the headlines without fail.

 Well, this is between ace heroine Sruthi Haasan & yesteryear heroine Gautami for Kamal Haasan’s upcoming film Sabash Naidu. While Shruti is sharing screen space with her dad Kamal in the film, Kamal’s current live-in partner Gautami is working as chief costume designer for this trilingual flick.

If the inside reports are to be beileved, creative differences cropped up between the two. Shruti apparently did not find the costumes designed by Gautami good on her which at times led to heated arguments between them even on the sets! Well Kamal and others haven’t peeped into the matter.

 Hope Shruti & Gautami find a way out with their differences and make things easy!

Actual reason behind Superstar’s tweet

Well, Rajini has wished Bollywood’s charming star Akshay Kumar the best of luck for his new movie Rustom. This got many wondering as to why Rajini did this. Some also commented he is showing bias by supporting Rustom and not Mohenjo Daro. Well, the answer is simple. Akshay and Rajini are working together for Robo 2.0 hence that camaraderie.

Gutsy heroine faces lip-lock controversy yet again

Gutsy heroine Nayantara is once again in the headlines for wrong reasons and this time its due to her recently released Tamil film Thirunaal.

 Going into the details, there is a scene in Thirunaal movie where a school boy plants a peck on Nayan’s lips. This scene became a hot topic of discussion in the social media when the screenshot of the scene was shared online by the kid’s mother. Director PS Ramnath is being lashed out by the netizens for shooting this scene. However he tried to give his version on the episode trying to explain that the scene was captured projecting the innocence of kindergarten kid with no vulgar intentions.

 On the other hand, Thirunaal is bagging positive reviews and talk all over in TN. Nayan’s Babu Bangaram movie starring Victory Venkatesh in the lead released today and opened to mixed reviews. In a way it has been an eventful Friday for Nayan.

Nithya Menen fires on Media

Nithya Menen is quite a simple yet strong personality who does shy away to call a spade a spade come what may. However a bunch of recent media reports and link up rumors with her Ok Bangaram co-star Dulquer Salman haven’t gone well with this Malayalam beauty.

 Well, Nithya is not someone who can ignore these so easily. She strongly condemned the rumors and indeed questioned the group of media about how can they carry such objectionable and demeaning reports linking up her with a married person! Nithya apparently reasserted that they were good co-stars and friends beyond everything.

 Well these linkup rumors have managed to find some milege due to their sparkling chemistry in back to back releases like Ok Kanmani, 100 Days of Love etc. On a whole, Nithya Menen gave strong indications that she can spare no cooked stories upon her.

What was your takeaway when you watched the movie Srimanthudu featuring superstar Mahesh Babu? Well, it was about giving something back to Nature and society and create the difference. This concept struck a major chord with the audience and the film became a blockbuster.

The credit for that goes to the talented director Koratala Siva and now he is arriving with another movie Janatha Garage. As part of that, the first trailer came out and those who saw it are saying it looks just like Srimanthudu part 2. The fundamental of Koratala remains the same.

Even Janatha Garage seems to revolve around the preservation of nature and at the same time, the preservation of humanity. The trailer has got an overwhelming response but on a practical note, it would be more effective if Koratala has a twist in the tale and not something predictable.

​Senior Vs Junior: who will win in the battle?

It is natural that when two movies that show promise arrive in theatres on the same date, the comparison charts are brought up. The same is happening right now in Tollywood because of two movies. They are Babu Bangaram with Venkatesh and Thikka with Sai Dharam.

As such, Babu Bangaram released a day earlier and reports are stating the film has got an average response. As a result, all ‘Thikka’ would need is an above average talk and that would be sufficient to push it to a success mark. The expectations are strong due to Sai Dharam factor.

However, the other perspective is Babu Bangaram is more family movie while Thikka is more mass and youth movie so both films will have their share of audience. That way, both films impacting each other is not going to be that huge. We will know the clear picture by Monday though.

Angry Youngman to romance Kamal’s heroine

Remember the stunningly pretty actress who made repeated appearance in Kamal Hassan’s Vishwaroopam along with Utthama Villain? She is none other than Pooja Kumar who is also a brilliant performer. However, she wasn’t predominantly seen in any other film after that.

But as per latest reports, Pooja Kumar will be seen opposite angry young man Rajasekhar. After ages, this actor is all set to do a powerful cop role which has always been his forte. Versatile filmmaker Praveen Sattaru will be directing this flick.

It would be interesting to see Pooja Kumar sharing screen presence with yesteryear brilliant hero Rajasekhar and whether he would score a hit at least this time!
