SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali: The Conclusion is on a record-breaking spree within it’s first week of release. Starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubatti, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah, Sathyaraj, Nassar and Ramya Krishna in lead roles, the movie generated a revenue of more than 100 crore on its first day itself.

Not only in India, Baahubali 2 has been raking in huge collections overseas too. Latest reports suggest that the movie has made history by generating a mammoth Rs 500 crore on its first weekend.

Released in 9000 theatres worldwide on April 28, Baahubali 2 is surely living up to the hype.

Ace villain set to turn producer with PV Sindhu’s biopic

Olympic Silver Medallist P V Sindhu’s will be joining the bandwagon of sportsperson whose stories are portrayed on the big screen. Actor-producer Sonu Sood is set to draw Sindhu’s life on screen. Sonu got the idea when she won the silver medal and subsequently his team researched about her life for around eight months.

He feels that this is apt time for making biopic on Sindhu, considering the fact that other sports are gaining prominence in the country. The script is being developed once it is finalized and the actors/actress will be decided. Sindhu 21, hopes that her story will inspires millions to follow their dreams.

Sachin Tendulkar’s biopic is all set to hit the screens towards the end of this month. Saina Nehwal announced last week that actress Shraddha Kapoor is lead actress in her biopic which will release in 2018.

In the recent past biopics of several sports personalities including MS Dhoni, Mohammed Azharuddin, Mary Kom, Milkha Singh have been painted on the big screen.

Timeless beauty Shriya Saran made her comeback to Tollywood with Gopala Gopala after which she grabbed an opportunity in Balakrishna’s Gautamiputra Satakarni. Impressed with her work, she has been retained for NBK’s next film which is being directed by Puri Jagannadh.

The actress has been approached for a special peppy item number in Krishna Vamsi’s next titled Nakshatram and the actress gave the team a nod for the song. The special song will be shot during the mid of this month informed the makers with which the entire shoot will be wrapped up.

Krishna Vamsi has been in hunt for a lead actress for the item song and he locked Shriya Saran finally. Nakshatram is said to be a mass action entertainer and Sundeep Kishan, Regina Cassandra, Sai Dharamtej, Pragya Jaiswal are the lead actors.

Nakshatram is busy with the post-production work and with many releases in May, the makers are in plans to release the movie during June this year. Krishna Vamsi pinned many hopes on the film.

Tamannaah has been widely applauded however the second installment witnessed the actress in a small role. She will be making her presence during the climax of the movie. There have been lot of rumours that she had a tiff with the film’s director SS Rajamouli and this made her absent for the film’s promotions.

Tamannaah even received several messages and she clarified saying that she has been present for all the promotional activities she has been asked for. Tamannaah even said that she had a limited presence in Baahubali: The Conclusion as per the character. She even praised the team along with Rajamouli saying that she has great respect for them. Baahubali: The Conclusion that released yesterday started off shattering all the existing box-office records of Indian cinema.

It is hard for you not to blend your personal beliefs in your work environment and this is more tough if you are in a creative industry like cinema. Most of the times, you tend to see the sentiments of filmmakers being reflected in their films or some scenes.

However, that doesn’t seem to be the case with the tough taskmaster S SRajamouli. While his films have dealt with the element of Karma, the presence of God etc recently he shared his thoughts in an interview that he is actually an atheist.

To add to that, Rajamouli is reportedly influenced by the philosophy of Ayn Rand who is known for her practical and radical approach towards life and its situations. All in all, after watching his films and increasing our devotional quotient, knowing that Rajamouli is a non-believer sure springs a surprise and a bit of discomfort.

Mahesh Babu’s forthcoming spy thriller ‘Spyder’ is aiming for August release after moving out of Summer release. The Murugadoss directional is currently in the last leg of shoot. Reports reveal that all shooting formalities will be wrapped up by the end of May. The recently released stylish first look posters garnered a good response from audience.

According to the latest update, the teaser of the film is likely to be unveiled on May 31st coinciding with the birthday of Mahesh Babu’s father Superstar Krishna’s birthday. Sources say that the teaser work was done in the UK and the makers have spent a bomb for the technical team which worked on the teaser.

Spyder stars Rakul Preet Singh and SJ Suryah in crucial roles. Harris Jayraj is composing the tunes for the film.
